Bradley R. Dowden, MD
Dr. Dowden is a native of Bossier City, Louisiana. He is a graduate of Northwestern State University with a BS in Biology, and a Minor in Chemistry.
He is a graduate of Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed a combined Internal Medicine & Pediatrics Residency Program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
His Board Certifications include: Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Specialist in Clinical Hypertension. Dr. Dowden is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics, and American Society of Hypertension.
Gregory S. Riggs, MD
Dr. Riggs is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana, and completed his internal medicine residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He specializes in adult medicine with an emphasis on diabetes and hypertension management as well as preventive medicine.
Dr. Riggs graduated summa cum laude from the Honors College at Louisiana State University with a bachelors degree in Biological Sciences and minors in Chemistry and Psychology. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his internal medicine residency training at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dr Riggs is board certified in internal medicine. He is also a certified hospice medical director and currently serves as the medical director for Hospice of Acadiana. He is a member of the ACP (American College of Physicians), AAHPM (American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine), and NHPCO (National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization).
Britni Hebert, MD
Dr. Hebert is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana, and completed her internal medicine residency at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She specializes in adult medicine and has completed subspecialty training in geriatric medicine.
Dr. Hebert attended Yale University for her undergraduate studies and received honors in Cognitive Neurosciences. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed internal medicine residency training, chief residency and geriatric medicine fellowship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Dr. Hebert’s work thus far has focused on improvements in quality of care, efficiency in practice workflow, and education of medical students and residents in the core competencies of internal medicine. She aspires to deliver the highest standards of compassionate care to her current future patients.
Melanie Mier, MD
Dr. Mier is a native of New Iberia, Louisiana, and completed her internal medicine/pediatrics residency at University of Arkansas for the Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. She specializes in adult medicine with an emphasis on diabetes and hypertension management, and preventive medicine.
Dr. Mier received her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with minor in Chemistry from University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Lafayette, Louisiana. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed her internal medicine residency training at University of Arkansas for the Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Katie Dennis, MD
Dr. Dennis is a native of Mandeville, Louisiana. She graduated from Louisiana State University Health Science Center School of Medicine in New Orleans prior to completing her internal medicine residency with Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Dr Dennis is board certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Dennis attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi and graduated with honors in Neuroscience and Cognitive Studies.
She is a member of the American Medical Association as well as the American College of Physicians. Her goal is to deliver quality and compassionate care to her patients.
Jessica Petry, MD
Dr. Petry is a native from Gueydan, Louisiana. She completed her internal medicine residency at Louisiana Health and Science Center in Baton Rouge. She specializes in adult health care.
Dr. Petry received her bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Psychology from University of Louisiana in Lafayette.
She is a graduate of Louisiana Health and Science Center School of Medicine in Shreveport, Louisiana and completed her Internal Medicine residency at LSUHSC in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr Petry is board certified in internal medicine.
She is a member of the American Medical Association as well as the American College of Physicians.
Aaron Ackley, MD
Dr. Ackley is a native of Lake Charles, LA. He completed his internal medicine residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Baton Rouge, and attended medical school at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans.
He graduated with honors from Louisiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and minors in Chemistry, Psychology, and Business Administration.
Dr. Ackley specializes in adult medicine.
Heather Daigle, ANP-BC
Mrs. Heather Daigle is a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Louisiana State University in Eunice and her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from McNeese State University.
Her Masters of Science Degree in Nursing was received from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Mrs. Daigle is a member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society, and the National Lipid Association.
Jamie Meche
Administrator
Mrs. Jamie Meche is a native of Mire, Louisiana. She is a graduate 2007 of Louisiana Technical College Acadian Campus with a Diploma in Practical Nursing. She began her career with Lafayette Internal Medicine Clinic in August of 2014 as a clinic nurse. With a nursing background in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine she began working with our staff nurses to bring high quality care to our patients as our clinical nurse manager in 2017. In January 2021 she became our clinic administrator and is excited to continue to lead all of the staff here at LIMC.
