LAFAYETTE INTERNAL MEDICINE CLINIC’S STAFF

Our mission as physicians and staff at Lafayette Internal Medicine Clinic is to help you maintain optimum health by providing care which is efficient and comprehensive, yet personalized and caring. Recognizing that you as our patients are our most important asset, we are committed to courteous, confidential and timely service.

Edward “Kemp” Coreil, MD

Dr. Coreil has been in practice since September of 1998. He is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana. He received his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed his internal medicine residency training at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.

Dr. Coreil is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Louisiana State Medical Society. He is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Bradley R. Dowden, MD

Dr. Dowden is a native of Bossier City, Louisiana. He is a graduate of Northwestern State University with a BS in Biology, and a Minor in Chemistry. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed a combined Internal Medicine & Pediatrics Residency Program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

His Board Certifications include: Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Specialist in Clinical Hypertension. Dr. Dowden is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics, and American Society of Hypertension.

Gregory S. Riggs, MD

Dr. Riggs is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana, and completed his internal medicine residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He specializes in adult medicine with an emphasis on diabetes and hypertension management as well as preventive medicine.
Dr. Riggs received his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with minors in Chemistry and Psychology from Louisiana State University Honors College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his internal medicine residency training at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dr Riggs is board certified in internal medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Louisiana State Medical Society.

Britni Hebert, MD

Dr. Hebert is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana, and completed her internal medicine residency at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She specializes in adult medicine and has completed subspecialty training in geriatric medicine.

Dr. Hebert attended Yale University for her undergraduate studies and received honors in Cognitive Neurosciences. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed internal medicine residency training, chief residency and geriatric medicine fellowship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Dr. Hebert’s work thus far has focused on improvements in quality of care, efficiency in practice workflow, and education of medical students and residents in the core competencies of internal medicine. She aspires to deliver the highest standards of compassionate care to her current future patients.

Melanie Mier, MD

Dr. Mier is a native of New Iberia, Louisiana, and completed her internal medicine/pediatrics residency at University of Arkansas for the Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. She specializes in adult medicine with an emphasis on diabetes and hypertension management, and preventive medicine.
Dr. Mier received her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with minor in Chemistry from University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Lafayette, Louisiana. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Shreveport and completed her internal medicine residency training at University of Arkansas for the Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Heather Daigle, ANP-BC

Mrs. Heather Daigle is a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Louisiana State University in Eunice and her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from McNeese State University.

Her Masters of Science Degree in Nursing was received from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Mrs. Daigle is a member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society, and the National Lipid Association.

Catherine Gardes Beaullieu, MBA, MSHCM
Administrator

Mrs. Catherine Beaullieu is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana. She is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, and a Masters in Business Administration. Afterwards, she received her Masters of Science in Healthcare Management from the University of New Orleans.

She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Professionals and Louisiana Medical Group Management Association.

Jamie Meche
Clinical Nurse Manager

Mrs. Jamie Meche is a native of Mire, Louisiana. She is a graduate of Louisiana Technical College Acadian Campus with a Diploma in Practical Nursing. She received her Practical Nursing License in 2007. She has been with Lafayette Internal Medicine Clinic since August of 2014.
